Youth in Afforestation demand for arrears

The head for Terrains and Regular Assets Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh has uncovered that the Afforestation program that was sent off by the President Akufo-Addo in August 2018 has up to this point produced around 81,362 positions to dedicate their quota to the development of the Republic Of Ghana but life is unbearable whilst working without pay and therefore disclosed to the media concerning their arrear.

The Afforestation youth have initiated that, the execution of the program is in accordance with government’s obligation to reforestation, backwoods recovery and woods assurance.

The head said, “To make occupations for the young whiles guaranteeing maintainable administration of the normal assets, the accompanying intercessions were attempted from 2017 to date: Connecting Youth Work to manor improvement, Giving elective job projects to networks in mining regions and backwoods bordered networks, Assistance and Advancement of Local area Mining Plan”.

He further added that the Elective Occupation Program starting around 2017 has helped 33,044 people through the creation and appropriation of Oil Palm seedlings.

Mr Asomah-Cheremeh said the Local area Mining program that looks to advance mindful mining inside mining networks is relied upon to make 126,000 positions viable June 2020. He said around 220 youth have been utilized as Mine Superintendents to help with fighting illicit mining.
