Fixing the country means you should be paid well, support us – Efya Odo raps ‘poorly paid’ Ghana Police

Actress Efia Odo believes that the Police who are not paid well should rather join the #fixthecountry protest rather than insist on preventing it.

According to her, she has been a witness of Police Officers taking monies as low as GHC 20 from “big cars” just so it can support themselves because they are not paid well.

Efia Odo who made this known in a tweet said “The aggression to stop this demonstration is totally unnecessary. If the police were paid well some of them won’t be stopping big cars and asking for 20 cedis, I’ve witnessed it. They even take money from Uber drivers. What are you people so afraid of? We have a right to protest”.

Although the Supreme Court set aside a High Court order preventing the protest to get the country fixed, the Police has insisted that the #fixthecountry protest cannot come on as planned.

It has advised the general public not to fall for calls on them to demonstrate indicating that the substantive case between the Police and the protesters is still pending in the High Court and will be heard on June 14.
